Artifact: Motor Development Lab Skill Assessment

Date: Fall 2010

While working in my Motor Development Class at St. Mary's I observed many movement skills. These were all involving young children between Pre-K and Second grade. In one lab class I observed leaping, horizontal jumping, and sliding. During the class it was hard to observe the children perform these activities because of all the interference that was occurring. Because of this my Professor moved the children off to the side so that we could better observe the children perform the activity. This taught me how to efficiently take observations, and as well as how I should teach these motor skills to children of this age. This will most definitely help me when I become a teacher.

Here is my lab assessment.
